WoW Alchemy Leveling Guide 1 - 450

First, visit any trainer in the main cities of old Azeroth - just ask a guard, and learn Apprentice Alchemy.
You can find Vials at "Alchemy Supplies" vendors, they are usually near the Alchemy trainer.
  • 1-60
59 x [Minor Healing Potions] - 59 Peacebloom, 59 Silverleaf You'll need these in the next step of the Alchemy guide.

60 - 140

Learn Alchemy Expert.

205 - 285

Learn Alchemy Artisan.
  • 234 - 235
If you are at or above level 75 and you will level Alchemy past 500, you can skip this part. The epic alchemy trinket will be used for transmutes. 1 x [Philosopher's Stone] - 4 Iron Bar, 1 Black Vitriol, 4 Purple Lotus, 4 Firebloom
    Recipe Location
You will need this for transmutes, keep it.
  • 235 - 240
5 x [Elixir of Greater Intellect] - 5 Khadgar's Whisker, 5 Blindweed You can make this one up to 250, it depends on how many Blindweed you have.
  • 240 - 265
25 x [Elixir of Greater Agility] - 25 Sungrass, 25 Goldthorn The recipe will be yellow for the last few points, you might need to make more than 25. Make [Stonescale Oil] between 250-255 if you can find Stonescale Eel at the Auction House.

285 - 350

Once you reach an Alchemy skill of 325 and level 68, you may begin a quest to learn one of three specializations: Potions, Elixirs or Transmutations. Being specialized gives you a chance to create an extra 1 to 4 (for a total 5) items while crafting in the field you have selected. For example, a Master of Potions may be able to craft more than one [Super Mana Potion] for the same material cost as one.
Both Elixir and Potion master requires instance runs for the quest items and it can be hard to find groups to those old instances, so here is a little trick which can save you a lot of time.
Choose the path of Transmute Master. Buy 4 [Primal Might] or farm the required materials for 4 [Primal Might]. Go to Netherstorm, talk to Transmute Master and become a Transmute Master. Unlearn your specialization by talking to the master again, then go to the Elixir Master or to the Potion Master depends on which path you want to choose, of course if you want to be a Transmute master, you can skip this part. It costs 150 gold each time you unlearn your specialization.

  • 335-340
5 x [Super Healing Potion] - 10 Netherbloom, 5 Felweed Make the previous recipe 5 more times if you don't have acces to Netherbloom.

350 - 425

  • 375 - 380
5 x [Pygmy Oil] - 5 Pygmy Suckerfish You can make this one up to 385 and skip the next part of the guide.
  • 385 - 395
10 x [Elixir of Mighty Strength] - 20 Tiger Lily This recipe will be yellow for the last 5 points, you might need to make more than 10.
  • 415 - 425 This recipe turns green at 422, so you might need to make more than 20.
    20 x [Runic Mana Potion] - 20 Goldcover, 40 Lichbloom

425 - 525

  • 495 - 504
It is really important that you stop at 504, you will gain 5 skill points this way when you craft the next recipe. 9 x [Elixir of the Master] - 9 Heartblossom, 9 Twilight Jasmine
  • 504 - 509
    1 x [Flask of Enhancement] - 8 Twilight Jasmine, 8 Stormvine, 8 Azshara's Veil, 8 Whiptail, 8 Cinderbloom

WoW Herbalism Leveling Guide 1 - 525

First, visit any trainer in the main cities of old Azeroth - just ask a guard, and learn Apprentice Herbalism.

For the first 70 points, you can go to any starter zone, there is not much difference between them. I recommend the two following zones, because they are really close to the zones that I recommend for the next part of the Herbalism guide.

70 - 150 Herbalism

Learn Herbalism Journeyman then head to Hillsbard Foothills because that is the best zone for this part of the Herbalism leveling guide. It's a horde only zone, this means it might be a bit harder to reach it for alliance players, and for low level players I recommend Darkshore and then at 115 go to Ashenvale, or Westfall and then at 125 go to Northern Stranglethorn. The reason I recommend Hillsbard is because you can level up to 150 in one zone.

Hillsbard Foothills

Between 70-125, just follow the yellow lines. When you reach 125, you can enter the orange circle and gather Frozen Herbs.

150 - 230 Herbalism

Visit your trainer and learn Herbalism Expert. For the first 10 points until you reach 160, you won't be able to gather Khadgar's Whisker, and for the last 10-20 points, all of the herbs will be green, but it's still the fastest way if you to stay in these zones.

You will have to visit your trainer again when you reach 200.

230 - 285 Herbalism

In both of the zones below the most common herb will be [Sungrass]. Well, in Thousand Needles, you won't even find any other herb that will give you skill points and that's why I recommend Thousand Needles instead of Eastern Plaguelands. In Eastern Plaguelands there are a lot of [Khadgar's Whisker] which will be green to you and grey for the last few points. I also like the easy layout of Thousand Needles, you just go in a straight line and you can't miss the herbs, but don't get me wrong, Eastern Plaguelands is a really great alternative.

Thousand Needles

If you don't have a flying mount, then when you reach the end of the yellow line, you should turn back and run back to the starting point of the yellow line. You will also have to swim to Twilight Bulwark or Twilight Withering, else you can't really get to the place where the herbs are. (you can see these zones if you click on the map below)

285 - 325 Herbalism

Visit your trainer and learn Herbalism Master.

Swamp of Sorrows

The whole zone is filled with herbs. You can find them everywhere, there is no farming route for this map.

325 - 350 Herbalism

The orange circles means that you should fly around that zone, because the herbs are spread all over inside them.

350 - 400 Herbalism

Go to Northrend and learn Herbalism Grand Master. In Howling Fjord, you will mostly find [Goldclover], but there will be some [Tiger Lily] near the rivers and lakes, you won't be able to gather these until you reach 375 in Herbalism.

400 - 425 Herbalism

Sholazar Basin is filled with Herbs. The most common herb is [Adder's Tongue], but you can also find some [Goldclover] and [Tiger Lily]. If you don't really care about selling the Herbs, you should stay in Sholazar Basin until you reach 450. All it takes is just one full circuit in the zone, assuming no one else is farming there.

425 - 475 Herbalism

Mount Hyal

475 - 525 Herbalism

You should go to Deepholm where herbs are everywhere (at least they were before the nerf, gonna check it out soon), you don't need a herbalism map. You need to be level 82 if you want to enter Deepholm, so if you are leveling your Herbalism with one of your alt, you should stay in Mount Hyjal or go to Storm Peaks until you reach 500, then you can go to Uldum and collect Whiptail along the rivers.
